Job Description

Job Position: Head – Operations and Logistics

Job Location: India – Bhopal (Transferable to Bangalore, Delhi)

Position Summary:
The Head- Operation and Logistics should have strong Agri-tech background, excellent project management skills and the ability to navigate the challenges of a
Deep tech Agri use-case project. He must coordinate activities like sourcing, warehousing, transportation to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. Building
and maintaining relationships with Logistic Partners, Aggregators and associate partners in the agricultural commodities sector. The role involves identifying potential
Associate Partners and Logistic Partners, negotiating agreements and fostering partnerships to enhance the value chain.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Leadership
      • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance the overall supply chain network.
      • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the industry.
      • Drive innovation and digitalization initiatives to improve supply chain visibility, agility, and responsiveness.
      • Collaborate with leadership on planning, strategy, and long-term execution capabilities.
    2. Operations
      • Cross-Functional Integration.
      • Collaborate with stake holders -Associate Partners, FPOs, Aggregators and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments and optimize resource allocation.
      • Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities.
      • Delivering on business plan & budgetary targets.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional (Technical) teams to resolve complex operational issues and drive business growth.
      • Responsible for supporting the COO in developing and directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.
      • Familiarity with Deep Tech domains (AI, ML, blockchain, Quantum computing).
      • Understanding of operational challenges and opportunities of integrating it with technology.
      • Risk Management- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
    3. Logistics
      • Manage end-to-end operations of logistics, including digital logistic management, and process automation.
      • Identifying potential Logistic Partners, negotiating agreements and fostering partnerships to enhance the value chain.
      • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce costs and ensure timely operations.
      • Collaborate with Product and Tech team for proper integration of logistic operational activities.
      • Implement changes to optimize supply chain efficiency.
      • Track and analyse KPI to measure logistics performance.
      • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements

    • B.Tech-Agri / Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Agribusiness/ Supply Chain Management or a related field. Preferably from Premier Institute.
    • 11+ years of experience in Operations and supply chain management within the agriculture sector.
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, best practices and methodologies in areas such as systems integration and optimization.
    • Moderate understanding of Deeptech domain.
    • Capacity to adapt new technology and have digital skills
    • Strong understanding of agricultural markets, value chains, and pricing dynamics.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the Agri industry
    • Willingness to travel to meet Logistic Partners, field, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
    • Project management skills to execute strategic initiatives within timelines and budgets.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
